D-Litter Teckel Pups And A Deer Pelt

I have been trying to get the D-litter pups outside as much as I can. Unfortunately the rain has been a problem. Today in between showers I introduced the pups to a deer pelt and started teasing them with deer livers. They were all interested. At this age the training is just beginning, however they are not too young to start. They are also taking in all the new sounds, and sights that will help them develop into confident trackers and companions.

Trackfest 2013

I was able to attend Trackfest on June 1st and 2nd. It was held in Arena, Wisconsin. It is held annually in different parts of the country. It is put on by the United Blood Trackers. It is a great place to meet people with the same interests, and get information on tracking techniques, and dog training. It includes classroom and field work. They also offer tracking certifications for your dog. I would like to thank all the UBT staff that set up this event and shared their knowledge. I would also like to thank John Jeanneney for attending and sharing his knowledge. John has been at this a long time, and his experience is invaluable. He has written a couple of books on the subject. If you are interested in becoming a member of the United Blood Trackers, or just want to see what they are all about, check out their website at www.unitedbloodtrackers.org
